2026 United Nations Water Conference

December 8 - December 10

The 2026 United Nations Water Conference brings together governments, policymakers, international organisations, civil society, researchers and private-sector leaders to accelerate progress towards Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6): ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

Co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Senegal, the conference aims to turn global commitments into practical action through international cooperation, investment, innovation and partnerships. Key themes include access to clean water and sanitation, water security, ecosystem protection, sustainable water management and financing solutions. The programme includes high-level plenaries, six interactive dialogues and related events, alongside The Oasis, a space for exhibitions, innovation and collaboration.

Registration is free. The Oasis, the host-country programme featuring exhibitions, activities and networking opportunities, is open to everyone, subject to registration and approval. Access to the official UN programme (Blue Zone) requires separate UN registration and accreditation. The deadline for certain accredited organisations is 6 November 2026, while other participant categories have different deadlines. Further details are available on the official conference website.
