BIOFIN-EU Policy Forum: Nature, Risk and Reward
The BIOFIN-EU Policy Forum brings together leaders from agriculture, food and drink businesses, finance, government and research to explore how valuing nature can strengthen food-system resilience and long-term food security. Under the theme “Nature, Risk and Reward: Valuing Nature for a Resilient Food System,” the forum examines how biodiversity loss, climate change and ecosystem degradation create risks for food supply chains. Discussions focus on aligning public policy, subsidies, taxation, private finance and emerging nature markets to reward nature-positive practices and direct investment towards protecting and restoring natural capital. The event highlights the shared responsibility of farmers, manufacturers, retailers, investors and policymakers in building a more resilient and sustainable food system.
